Steve Saltsman

Initially establishing a career as an automotive service operations manager for several prominent dealer groups in the GTA representing manufacturers such as Infinity, Audi and Porsche, Steve demonstrated the ability to be inserted into a "broken" operation and dramatically and promptly turn it around. By consistently exceeding sales targets, increasing efficiencies and profitability all while achieving exceptional customer satisfaction scores, Steve was pivotal in the resurrection and expansion of all of the organizations he worked with. Steve was recruited by one of his clients at the time into the field of commercial real estate, attaining his real estate license congruently while performing his "day" job, eventually joining a small independent office located in Vaughan Ont. He became the retail MLS leasing representative for East Woodbridge Developments Ltd., a high profile industrial portfolio consisting of 1.7 million square feet at the intersection of Highways 400 & 407. Steve also represented numerous other industrial leasing and sales transactions throughout the GTA working with small as well as large institutional investors alike. Relocating his family just north of Barrie to Tiny Township and intrigued by a process he learned of while working with developers in Toronto, Steve established Sawlog Bay Environmental Services in 2009 offering hydro-excavation and buried infrastructure maintenance services to the area. From it's humble beginnings utilizing a pick up truck and a rented vacuum trailer, SBE successfully expanded to 4 customized vacuum trucks, 8 employees operating out of it's own facility contracting to all the local municipalities along with numerous power and communications companies. In response to identifying the growing demand in an un-serviced sector in the area, Steve has upgraded his real estate training, retaking the latest OREA licensing education curriculum adding certification in Property Management, Investment Analysis and successfully completing the Broker certification programs. Now embarking on his next challenge, Georgian North Real Estate Ltd. was established in November of 2021 and is the only real estate brokerage in North Simcoe with a dedicated focus on income producing commercial property and land development opportunities in the area. Together with his broker of Record Lois Lipton, the pair offer 43 years of combined large market commercial real estate and development experience.
